Desmond’s interest lies in governmental green policies, raising funds for and investing in green projects, and hopes to work with non-profits and corporates on sustainable and environmentally aware practices and products.

Lian Po Kor is a final-year econometrics major at the London School of Economics (LSE), a part-time research assistant to Professors Lord Nicholas Stern and Danny Quah, and a prospective emerging markets fixed-income trader with Goldman Sachs in London, and has been actively involved in global macroeconomic discussions through his research assistantship at the LSE and internships with financial institutions. Through his work for Lord Stern, he has also become very interested and concerned about the problem of global climate change.

With a PhD in combustion physics and years of research in various fields, Jean-Luc oddly started a Feng Shui business, bringing more awareness about the internal and external elements and their relationship. Also a web developper and designer, he hopes to contribute to GK to become a leading plateform of information in sustainable living. According to him, bananas & kiwis make the best smoothies, not wheatgrass, although wheatgrass is fun to grow at home and has a lot of chlorophyll.

KAMPONG EDITOR – BENJAMIN “MR MIYAGI” LEE

Benjamin is one of Singapore’s pioneer bloggers and online citizens, and has a loyal following both online and offline, where he writes across various genres about “all and sundry”, and he is also  known as a scriptwriter for comedians like Kumar and Hossan Leong. Being a new parent, Benjamin, his wife Naomi and their young family are always o. the look out for things cleaner, greener and safer.

NAOMI MINEJIMA – KAMPONG CURATOR

Having left the media industry after getting married to Benjamin, Naomi now really works for only one boss – her son Kai. She is however allowed to do other really useful stuff like stay on the look out for cool, interesting and useful stuff for the home and family that are good for people and good for the planet.

Over the past three years, she’s carefully curated a range of things and ideas to share with her friends and n/w, fellow villagers (that’s you, Green Kampong followers)!
