But wait…what is Earth Hour anyways?

Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March. Households and businesses are asked to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.  In fact, international landmarks such as the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing, the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Empire State Building in New York, the Acropolis in Greece and the Petronas Tower in Malaysia are all switching off their lights for Earth Hour. In all, it’s estimated that 2,400 cities and towns in 82 countries will be participating in this year’s Earth Hour.

A presentation on Climate Change

The Climate Project’s (TCP) Singapore-based Director will deliver a multimedia presentation version of Al Gore’ 2007 award winning documentary of the same name.
