I have yet to visit the “nation’s first” Zero Energy Building, the namers of which have probably forgotten that our kampong pondoks once were zero energy as well, until they pulled a power cable off the main street and into the kampong.
Perhaps going back to those basics is a school built from recycled material that looks really cool – a prep school on stilts in a tree – the kids won’t want to come home!
