State Firms Among Worst for Indonesia’s Environment
The 56 companies on the “black list” of worst offenders included 10 state-owned enterprises and 12 foreign companies. They operated across a range of industries, including oil and gas, coal mining, pulp and paper, textiles, fish processing, plywood and palm oil. They included an oil and gas joint venture of PT Pertamina in South Sumatra, six state-owned plantations, nine plywood companies, 10 palm oil concerns and a leading milk producer

Climate Treaty ‘Impossible’ to Reach in December, de Boer Says
Climate negotiators won’t be able to reach a full-fledged global-warming treaty at a December summit in Copenhagen, said the UN’s top climate-change official, Yvo de Boer.
Delegates from about 190 nations meeting in the Danish capital should instead focus on “four key political essentials” involving emissions cuts for developed nations, efforts to be made by developing countries, climate aid and governance, de Boer said

People from around Singapore gathered today to create a human tidal wave as part of the largest day of climate change activism ever. The tidal wave was part of day long activities, which started with the number 350 being formed at Padang, a Wacky Walk to SMU, and free vegetarian food at SMU
